Greetings and thank you for taking time to read this information regarding Benedict College.  We are the Groove Tiger IV Chapter Alumni Committee (fraternity) of Benedict College Columbia, South Carolina.  Our committee of professional men is comprised of members who have graduated from Benedict College over the span of the last 50 years.  We have committed ourselves to assist in fundraising for Benedict College.  We humbly ask that you consider donating to this Historically Black College (HBCU) in its pursuit to educate and inspire African Americans to achieve racial, social, and economic equity.

 

I am a graduate of Benedict College and the first college graduate in my immediate family.  Upon graduating from Benedict College in 1974 my siblings were inspired by my achievement and pursued college careers for themselves.  We became more financially able to help ourselves and others, this positively impacted our family as a whole.  Higher standards were set for the entire family and we became role models for our off-springs.  Your contribution will be far reaching in terms of building productive families and a culture that will inspire others.  Most recently, Groove Tiger IV Chapter Alumni Committee awarded scholarships to two students who have received our support in continuing a legacy of promoting others. 

 

Benedict College is in need of assistance with challenges for its academic programs and campus infrastructure.  We ask that you provide the utmost consideration in making a donation for the needs of the College.  Some of Benedict College’s needs are: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Program (STEM), infrastructure needs for the Band and Orchestra, and infrastructure needs for Benedict’s Campus.  The above-mentioned Groove Tiger IV Chapter Committee will present all donations as having been solicited from and received by the committee from its donors.

 

Benedict College will provide you with a 501 (c) (3) tax deduction. You may refer to our committee’s website: groovetigerchapter4bc.org for further information regarding our committee’s efforts and for information on the international graduate and undergraduate organization (Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Incorporated) of which we are affiliated. Please know that this effort is on behalf of the committee members associated with Benedict College and not on behalf of GPGSFI.
